The Yorkshireman was built in 1978 for purposes of towing in the north Sea and around the world.  Her most famous days were during the “Falklands War” when taken into service with the “Salvageman”  by the royal Navy.  Best remembered for their attempt to save the container ship “The Atlantic Conveyor” after she was hit by missiles from the Argentine Air force.  Unfortunately, the rescue was unsuccessful.
