HERRESHOFF 12 1/12 SCALE 17” Long
In 1914, famed designer Nathaniel (Captain Nat) Herreshoff drew plans for the “Buzzard’s Bay Boy’s Boat,” for yachtsmen who wanted a training sailboat for their children. This timeless design has never lost its popularity and appeal. Over 3000 have been built. Wooden versions with the traditional gaff sail are still being built, as well as fiberglass versions with Marconi sails. There are active racing fleets in New England. Our plank on bulkhead kit faithfully reproduces this easy-to-handle, stable boat as Captain Nat envisioned it.
