The SOUTHAMPTON is based on the tug WYEFORCE, which is one of the most modern vessels operated by the ITCHEN-MARINE shipping company in the waters around Southampton, England. The model is made entirely from injection-molded plastic parts, sprayed with semi-matt paints and the name placards printed on; the result is a boat of exceptionally high quality. With its many integral details and fittings the model has an extremely good scale appearance. The twin-screw power system based on a pair of carefully selected geared motors gives the SOUTHAMPTON an impressive scale performance and appearance in the water. The metal propellers are housed in Kort nozzles for improved efficiency. To prepare the model for the water all you have to do is fit the tyre fenders and mast, and charge the drive battery.
