Nothing defines the Mid-Pacific Coast Fishing Industry as a visit to Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco, and if you have visited the Wharf in the last 70 years and looked down at the fishing boats you probably have seen a Monterey Clipper tied up. Well these boats were not built on the Wharf but in a community called Monterey starting out in humble seaside building yards in the 1920’s thru the 1930’s. The Hartman Model Boats Monterey Clipper is based on a typical boat found actually Fishing and brining its Catch of the Day to the Wharf for sale in the 1930’s when the boats were work boats and not painted in a fancy colors but were colorful in there well worn difference. The white gel coated fiberglass hull features the following: • The two top rub rails are molded in place • 7 scupper opening locations on each side • Rudder location • Molded in waterline location Our Classic 1930 style clipper fishing boat is made to the following dimensions and features. 1/6 SCALE 52-3/8” Beam = 16-1/4”
