OLYMPIA |
|
The Olympia is the newest release & oldest product in the Hartman Models Line. This model was the first boat ever produced by Dwight Hartman. It was developed in the 1960’s as a potential design for the emerging E/C 12 Class. When another design was selected for the E/C 12, the Olympia was relegated to the back corner of a friend’s basement. We had the opportunity to buy back the original mold and so we did. Now we are able to make this fine Hull and Deck available to all modelers as we have just put it back into production. Traditional Model Pond Sailboat; circa 1940 55” X 9” The origins of this model started long before Radio Control or Vane Steering, but as a pole boat. Poles were used to turn the boats at the end of each leg of the race course. Then before release the sails, would be reset for the next leg. Our Model is designed for R/C and if you don’t want it to race and prefer to relive those early days of yachting with an impressive model from the 1890's – 1920's style sloop or cutter rigged model, you may want to consider building like the picture below. Our Model is comprised of white gel coated fiberglass hull.
HMB-94 – FIBERGLASS GEL COATED HULL WITH CABIN $ 500.00
HMB-94D – DECK $ 80.00
HMB-94R – RUDDER $ 35.00
