ALL OF OUR MOTORS ARE SPECIFICALLY SELECTED FOR USE IN SCALE SHIP MODELS. THEY ARE CHOSEN FOR PROPER TORQUE AND RPMs SO THAT A GEARBOX WILL NOT BE NEEDED IN MOST CASES. ALL MOTORS ARE HEAVY DUTY AND RATED FOR CONTINUOUS OPERATION WITHOUT FORCED COOLING WHEN APPLIED APPROPRIATELY. MOTOR #1 |
Small, very efficient 6 12 VDC motor which is 1.5 long x 1.1 in diameter. It has a 1/16 diameter shaft and draws only .2 A no load. It is perfect for smaller boats up to approximately 24 long or for use on longer hulls with multiple motors/shafts. Any speed control rated to handle at least 1 Amp will work, and in most applications a standard 1500 mAH should provide approx. 2 hours of run time. |

MOTOR #2 |
Medium size efficient 12 VDC motor which is 3.5 long x 1.5 in diameter. It has a 3/16 diameter shaft and the motor draws only .4 A load and less than 4 Amps stalled. This motor is well suited for boats from 24 long to 40 and is roughly the equivalent of Dumas Pittman with respect to power. It is well suited for most hulls and any speed control which will handle 12 Volts and at least 3 Amps will work well in conjunction with this motor. |

MOTOR # HTI |
This motor is a direct replacement for the Pittman 14,000 Series Motor which is the gold standard for power and torque for the large workboat hulls. Like the Pittman motor, it is 12 VDC rated and turns 3500 rpm no load. The no load current is right around ½ amp. The loaded current is very reasonable for the power being supplied and in most cases it will be around 5 amps.5/16 (8mm) diameter shaft supported by ball bearings at both endsVery heavy duty motor. |

Twin Ball Raced Motor with 8-pole armature. High torque at medium RPM. Ideal for medium to large tugs, trawlers and warships. No need for gear reduction. Noise suppression is built into the motor. This is a 12v motor that draws .75 amps no load and turns 4100 RPMs. This motor will draw 3 amps at maximum efficiency. 3 long x 2 diameter with a 5mm diameter output shaft. |

MOTOR #15 |
A 12 VDC motor made by American Bosch that turns 3900 RPM at 12 volts. It has a 1/4" diameter shaft that runs in high quality sleeve bearings and also features a self resetting thermal fuse in case of overload. The dimensions are 4.5" long by 2.5" diameter. This is a very well made, high quality motor with a great deal of power. |

MOTOR #16 |
This motor is the same general diameter as the standard Pittman type (1.5" diameter) but a little bit longer (3.125" long). It has ball bearings supporting the shaft at both ends and is totally enclosed with replaceable brushes. This 12 VDC motor is made by Northfield Electric and will turn 1800 RPM (loaded) at 12 volts. A good motor for boats in the 24" to 36" range. |
