CATALOG RELEASE
We have just completed the 2005 Catalog and will be sent to the printer within the week.
It is 2-Volumes and 500 Pages. Many additions have been made in technical information,
running gear, electronics, detail accessories, new kits etc. Many pictures have also been
added to both volumes including Volume II, with new pictures showing custom installed
running hardware and much more. Additional information is forthcoming.
If you would like a new edition, please contact us and we will reserve your copy off of
the first print run.
A recent updated section to the Catalog and the Website is the Building Materials.
More and More these days we are finding that the small town, local hobby shop is
limiting what it has to offer for these supplies or are discontinuing these building
materials altogether. This forces many of our customers to drive hundreds of miles
to find a source of these supplies. In response to frequent requests, we have expanded
our Building Materials section. Should you need something not listed, please let us
know as we can supply nearly anything.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION FOR THE BUILDER
We have recently seen an influx in the number of people giving this hobby a try. As is true
in any new endeavor, these beginners have many questions. In an effort to help alleviate
this problem we created a book of the basic technical information about a year ago.
This book answers many questions about radio, motor, prop and speed control
selection and also includes a discussion of the various glues and their applications.
Also covered are topics such as: Shop Tips, Steam Engines and Soldering plus much
more. Recognizing that this book has not covered every topic, we are in the process of
writing two (2) more books. One will discuss many of the topics that are regularly asked by
customers such as: Wiring Circuits, Charging Batteries, Waterproofing Wood Hulls etc.
If there is a topic you feel is worth while for this new book, please contact us with your ideas.
The third (3rd) book will contain detailed coverage of the Building of a Kit. From the
selection of the Kit right through the first trial run in the water. A step-by-step description
is layed out before you in text, photos and diagrams.
WEBSITE INFORMATION
As you probably notice, our Website changes constantly with updates and new product. We
now are starting to get pictures of fittings. (Finally...) And you will be able to click on fittings
descriptions to view a picture of the fitting. Keep checking the site for regular updates.
LOOK WHAT WE'RE UP TO....
To assist in providing "Real Time" answers to customer questions, we are working on providing
a Bulletin Board. This board will be open to any Ship Model Question you may have. It does not
have to be R/C, Operating or even a surface ship. Anything Goes!!!! All Newsletter
Subscribers will receive an E-Mail announcing the Board the day that it goes live on the web.
